MICHAEL B. SLOCUM, 57, of Randolph, died Saturday, August 17, 2013 at his home.
Mike was born May 7, 1956 in Point Pleasant, NJ. He graduated from Point Pleasant Boro High School. In 1995 he moved to Vermont with his mom and they made their home in Randolph. Mike worked at the Three Stallion Inn as a dishwasher for many years. Mike’s passions were his garden and especially his prized pumpkin patch. He was a huge Yankees fan and also loved the Patriots. Mike will be missed by his faithful companion and best friend, Jasper, who Mike and his mom got as a rescue pup.
He was predeceased by his father, E. Leland Slocum. Surviving are his mother, Dorothy Slocum of Randolph; brothers, Kenneth Slocum and his wife, Pege of Saginaw, MI, Richard Slocum and his wife, Nancy of Randolph Center, Charles Slocum and his companion, Susan D’Onofrio of South Charleston, SC; sister, Ruth Ann Baker of Point Pleasant, NJ; uncle, George Freeman of Maryland; aunt, Janet Freeman of Brick Twp, NJ; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
The family would like to thank Dr. Kenneth Borie, Gifford Medical Center, Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center, and Bayada Hospice for their loving care and support throughout Mike’s illness.
